Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Lead mechanical engineering efforts (design & analysis) for the development of cardiac assist devices with a primary focus on disposable devices such as intra-aortic balloons; introducer sheaths; guide wires and blood pumps. Help set design goals and specifications for product development efforts Coordinate prototyping efforts with manufacturing and suppliers Support released product and resolve field issues with Quality Engineering Provide status updates to Program Managers as required Define strategy for design and manufacturing efforts Provide Material Review Board support Mentor junior Mechanical Engineers
