The individual in this position will perform complex, state-of-the-art, product development activities relating to the design, testing and evaluation of mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies for high precision metrology instruments. He/she may provide work leadership and training to professional and technical staff. Project assignments will be completed using knowledge of kinematic design principles, precision adjustment design, material selection, FEA (static stress and modal analysis) and design for manufacturability
