The specific responsibilities include: evaluating the capacity and the capability of the casting suppliers; reviewing supplier's manufacturing operations for lean opportunities; generate cost and cycle time reduction; provide technical oversight for supplier's manufacturing processes, process planning, tool design & optimization; ensure integrity of sub-tier supplier's process to the supplier being transitioned to and define maturity path for the supplier.
