Job description:
The Project Engineer role and responsibilities center on managing the Systems Engineering Process, directing the engineering/technical activities of the program based on the Design Control Process, Defining roles and responsibilities for technical team, developing the WBS based on functional architecture derived form requirements analysis, generating engineering Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and defining resources required to support completion of tasks – general man loading and by the name planning.
Requirements:
- BS, Engineering or equivalent, Masters preferred and Formal Systems Engineering training desired
- A minimum of 10 years experience in requirements development, systems specification, and LRU design of including military SATCOM/tactical radio systems
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary team through project inception through production
- Experience leading a circuit card design team
- Experience with managing project schedules using MS Project
- Experience creating WBS based on functional architecture
- Experience with at least CMMI, level 3 desirable
- Experience with requirements definition for system certification
- Experience with ICD and IDD development and document generation
- RF systems familiarity
- Familiarity with Systems lifecycle planning
- Familiar with hardware and/or software development and integration
- Experience with systems integration
- Experience in making business/technical tradeoff decisions
- Good interpersonal skills and experience with customer interaction
- Good communication skills both written and oral required
- Some travel required
