Must have experience in the connector or defense electronics industry with a technical degree. As a Program/Project manager you will work within a global infrastructure and be responsible for the execution and delivery of development projects within the framework of a Stage-Gate process. You will manage the entire lifecycle of the project and have full responsibility creating the cross-functional team, managing the team and the physical resources, and driving the project until it is successfully delivered into the operations and production environment. Projects can range in time from a few weeks to several years depending on the complexity. You will be required to manage multiple projects at one time under the umbrella of a program or product line. Multi-tasking between project and competing priorities is the norm. Management of resources, both human and physical, across the portfolio of projects is key to success. Ability to lead a cross-functional, multi-cultural team which could be spread across multiple countries requires strong communication and team building skills as well as a keen awareness of local cultural issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Project Management: Manage projects using the fundamental principles of project management through the phase of, initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closure using the scope, time, cost, quality, resources and risk.
Scope Management: Manage the agreed to scope of the project to ensure the project is understood and under control throughout the lifecycle.
Schedule Accountability: Manage schedules to determine critical path and ability to meet customer or project requirements. Schedule internal tasks and milestone dates, effectively communicate schedules to sales, operations, customers or project teams, track status on key components and tasks, issue customer status reports, coordinate customer/inspector visits, minimize schedule impact on internal change/errors, report/escalate issues to management. Software tools such as Microsoft Project may be used. Objective is a high level of On-Time-Performance and Customer Satisfaction.
Cost Management: Manage costs within the budget constraints. Report project and or program costs and variances.
Quality: Manage the project to ensure that it is executed within the framework of the business processes. Tailor the business processes as required for the specific project. Maintain the project library with project artifacts that demonstrate process compliance. Participate in Quality Audits as required by the Quality organization.
Resource Management: Manage all resources required to successfully execute the project to include people, processes, and equipment.
Risk Management Accountability: Ability to plan and execute a robust risk management process to include identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, mitigation and contingency planning.
Reporting: Maintain and update all required reports concurrent with project status. Travel: Travel in USA and to Foreign Countries may be required to meet Customers, Engineers and Users.
