Position Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Process Improvement Leader will be responsible for the execution and on-going management of operational excellence initiatives across our IT organization utilizing Lean and Work-Out methodogolies. The Process Improvement Manager will manage cross-functional project teams to evaluate business processes and determine initiatives that will provide greater productivity and efficiency and enable increased growth. A primary responsibility will be to facilitate Lean and Work-Out events and follow-up activities targeted toward increasing revenue, optimizing cycle time, reducing defect rates, and/or improving customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate must be able to quickly understand the business in order to recommend improved, strategic, measurable and sustainable solutions as well as identify further opportunities for improvement.

Specific Responsibilities

Lean/Work-Out Deployment (20%)
- Assist champions, business owners and process owners with identifying, scoping, and financially justifying projects that align with the business strategic plan.
- Act as change agent to foster a customer centric quality culture throughout the organization and drive measurable business process improvements.

Project Execution (70%)
- Lead strategic, cross functional, complex process improvements projects targeted toward increasing revenue, optimizing cycle time, reducing defect rates, and/or improving customer satisfaction.
- Recommend improved, strategic, measurable and sustainable solutions as well as identify further opportunities for improvement.
- Apply project management techniques to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
- Utilize appropriate mechanisms to manage and track initiatives, ensuring benefits are realized.
- Continued follow-up with project teams to improvement activities are on track, providing coaching and direction to ensure goals are achieved.

Coaching and Mentoring (10%)
- Act as a mentor, coach, and technical leader in the deployment of Operational Excellence using Lean and Work-Out methodologies.
- Provide expertise and share best practices regarding Lean & Work-Out tools & methodologies, project management and team leadership.

Position Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- A bachelors degree or higher, ideally in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or other IT-related discipline
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or equivalent
- Five (5) plus years of professional work experience with a proven ability to deploy LEAN or Six Sigma (DMAIC, DFSS) process improvement methodologies in technology-enabled environments.
- Experience managing and/or installing Agile development principles in corporate IT environments
- Well-developed leadership and project management capabilities with demonstrated success completing multiple cross-functional, cross-business, and cross-cultural projects.
- Proven track record of financial savings resulting from the application of the LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies and effective change management.
- Ability to identify problems through financial, statistical, and logic-based analysis.
- Ability to negotiate and influence key personnel across multiple business units and geographies, while influencing positive change through awareness, understanding, acceptance and engagement.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis, and associated solution implementation.
