Strategic Sourcing Manager (non-IT)

Hudson has been retained by a NY based Fortune 500 to identify a Strategic Sourcing Manager.  This person will report up through the indirect sourcing organization, and will spearhead sourcing strategies and activities, including execution within a wide group of non-IT categories. 

Responsibilities will also include the maintenance/monitoring of supplier relationships, as well as any associated metrics, measures, continuous improvement and/or cost-reduction activities.

This is the first time that sourcing will have touched many of these categories, so the ability to act as a change agent and internal champion, plus create effective internal stakeholder relationships is key.

We are looking for 5+ years experience across a variety of non-tech, indirect commodities.  Ideally looking for an Analytical or Mgmt Consulting background, plus exceptional project management skills.
