Basic Qualifications An Associates degree required Minimum five (5) years of Sales and Marketing or Finance experience Preferred Qualifications: Sales and Marketing or Finance experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment A Bachelors degree is preferred Amgen experience is strongly preferred Competencies and Skills: Knowledge - Very Strong computer and M/S Office skills. Job Summary Key member of the Commercial Rebate Programs team within Trade Pricing and Contract Management. This position is primarily responsible for accurately interpreting contract rebate programs and building templates in the Contracts and Chargebacks System (CCS) to support calculation, execution and reporting of contracted rebate payments to customers. Responsibilities include supporting the rebates operations process through provision of feedback on feasibility of proposed and existing rebate structures. This role will be responsible for communicating an overview of the contract strategies, implementation plan of the program and issues identified, and action plans to other team members as well as management. Responsibilities also include participation in the Exception process which requires interaction with several cross-functional groups, including Legal, Government Pricing and Segment Directors which entails providing analysis using detailed data and developing recommendations. Position operates within a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will possess the ability to take initiative, problem solve, work independently and exercise appropriate business judgment. Additional responsibilities include participation and perhaps leadership of planned and ad-hoc special projects within the Commercial Rebates team, Contract and Pricing Operations and Trade Pricing and Contract Management. Essential activities involve ensuring rebate process, documentation and execution are in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley policies, providing feedback on the ability to execute proposed discount programs and training other staff on rebate programs. Interaction and strong communication with segment team members including legal, pricing, wholesaler operations, contract operations, contract development, rebate mailbox and GCOIS is crucial. ?
