Our client is the market leader in the rapidly growing procurement outsourcing market. They are exclusively focused on helping Fortune 500 companies reduce costs and improve competitiveness through procurement excellence. If you are a procurement professional local to Southern California with a strong consultative presence and a background in industry as well as consulting (Big 4), this position is for you!
The Position:
Our client seeks a Procurement Consultant Professional to lead the program management team dedicated to one of their Fortune 500 customers. In this capacity, you will work on-site to provide leadership and day-to-day operational management to ensure that the account team consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations. Specifically, you will:
• Provide team leadership in the ongoing measurement and reporting of savings and other results and tracking overall progress against our agreement
• Develop and implement strategic account plan to address key program challenges and to increase our ability to deliver upon our commitments
• Manage account P&L against profitability goals
• Pursue and develop executive level and stakeholder relationships across the account
• Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth
• Promote corporate objectives, ensuring account team is supporting overall company direction and growth
• Manage team members and promote professional development for future leadership positions
• Encourage creativity and innovation and lead team in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A bachelor’s degree – MBA preferred
• Program management experience in a corporate and/or professional services environment
• Strong procurement experience—experience with indirect spend necessary
• Ability to effectively manage, motivate and promote professional development within teams
• Demonstrated ability to forge meaningful relationships with key stakeholders
• Adaptable management style to conform to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our customers
• Understanding of strategic sourcing, process/supplier implementation and change management best practices
