Plant Quality Assurance Manager

The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed DAIRY Plant Quality Assurance Manager for a Fortune 500 Food & Beverage Manufacturing Facility located in Albany, NY.

Job Description:

This position manages the overall total quality focus of the manufacturing plant, including but not limited to troubleshooting plant issues, quality assurance laboratory, sanitation programs, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Certification, third party audits, regulatory compliance and customer complaints.

Manage quality assurance laboratory procedures and interpretation of results. Provide for credibility of laboratory data and product quality management.

Manage operations quality issues. Provides SOP and troubleshooting support in problem resolution.

Supervise and direct employees from all aspects of production.

Manage plant sanitation program. Establish and maintain sanitation program that provides for environmental and product quality.

Manage regulatory requirements; local, state and federal compliance.

Manage 3rd party and customer inspections, audits and 3rd party certification.

Manage consumer response with corporate; provides for resolution of customer related issues.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in food science, food microbiology, microbiology, biology, chemistry or closely related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

5 years experience in Dairy Manufacturing!!!

Understanding of Dairy laboratory procedures including but not limited to fat and solids testing, micro testing, pH, titratable acidity, ATP and organoleptic evaluations.

Working knowledge of Dairy Regulatory requirements!!!

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good personal computing skills with Windows and related Microsoft software.
