Vice President Supply Chain Management

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Purpose of the Job:
 
Establish and run a world class supply chain management function at Company headquarters located in Boca Raton, Fl.
 
Key Responsibilities:  

1. Define and implement Company’s global supply chain management strategy.

2. Supply chain ownership from New Product Introduction through End of Life including customer order fulfilment, product quality and field returns.


3. Optimize and manage contract manufacturer, logistics and key supplier relationships to:

               · Leverage purchasing power and / or strategic market position to optimal effect.
               · Drive cost containment and efficiencies with relentless focus.
               · Minimize inventories and logistics processes with a priority on cash to cash cycle time, leadtime reduction and export compliance.

4. Develop and implement best in class supply chain management processes to deliver maximum value to the business in terms of:

               · Costs and Flexibility.
               · Sustainability and Robustness.
               · Quality & Customer Satisfaction.

5. Negotiation, implementation and management of supplier agreements and contracts focussing on


               · Aggressive, structured cost reduction.
               · Quality and Security of Supply.
               · Proactive Risk Mitigation and Avoidance.
               · Optimal Order Fulfilment.


6. Develop, implement and own the demand planning process reconciling inventory, supply chain and cash constraints into an optimal solution for the business and the customer.


7. Proactively represent Supply Chain needs to influence technology, product portfolio and customer solution decisions within the business.


8. Develop and implement an effective and timely reporting process for key performance indices within supply chain operations.

9. Drive the strategic development and daily application of business systems within the company such as MRP and product lifecycle management solutions.

Education,  Experience and Qualities Expected:

-          Engineering, science or business related degree, MBA or Supply Chain Management postgraduate qualification preferred.
-          ISM or APICS certification preferred.
-          10 years experience in high tech manufacturing environment, preferably telecoms with 5 years experience in senior supply chain management position(s).
-          International management experience.
-          Superior negotiation skills with proven ability to influence vertically and horizontally inside and outside of the organization.
-          Ability to manage remote teams and work effectively in a matrix structure and a multi-national environment.
-          Effective communicator and competent presenter proficient in MS Office.
-          Must be capable of excelling in a high change and time sensitive environment.
-          Self motivation, strong work ethic and attention to detail with ability to set clear goals, own and manage issues and escalate when necessary to achieve results.
-          20% - 40% travel required, mostly international.
-          In depth experience of business systems such as MRP (Avante) and product lifecycle management (Agile).
-          Experience of Lean and / or Six Sigma manufacturing processes and operations.
