Plant Engineer

The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a USDA Plant Engineer for a Large USDA Manufacturing Facility located in GA.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling of employees and union contract administration.
Scheduling and planning holiday production requirements regarding equipment readiness and crew requirements.
Ensure adherence to Company policies, procedures and practices.
Manage day to day operations within the maintenance department.
Set, monitor and maintain a safe working environment.
Responsible for identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities.
Responsible for new methods, preparation, and submission.
Capital budget development, justification, implementation and administration.
Strive for fast continuous systematic planned improvement.
Deal with suppliers and vendors.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of USDA (Meat, Beef, Pork, etc.) Food Manufacturing industry experience.
Must have training in fluid mechanics, refrigeration, electrical wiring/controls, and PLC programming.
Experience in Capital Expenditure development, justification, implementation and administration.
Working knowledge of regulatory agencies (OSHA, FDA, AIB, ASI, NEC and EPA).
Knowledge of MSDS, HACCP and GMPs.
Experience in safety administration.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Auto-Cad and Access.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to define performance measures related to the business and hold associates accountable for the same.
Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback.
Must possess the following traits : proactive, risk take

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified Candidates for the Plant Engineer position MUST HAVE at least 5-10 years of current Plant/Project Engineering experience from within a USDA Food (Meat, Beef, Pork, etc.) Manufacturing Facility.
