This company is a growing, entrepreneurial, privately owned, international industry leader that designs, develops and manufactures handling systems for all areas of solar cell processing.
You will lead and coordinate the installation and acceptance of solar cell manufacturing equipment at a solar manufacturing facility in the Boston metro area. With the goal of doubling production capacity, you will be at the heart of a cooperative venture between our client’s customer, teams of experts from Germany, local employees and various contractors. You will need to be organized, detail oriented, have great communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full time permanent position. Project success positions employee for a leadership role.
You will:
· Plan and lead the timely deployment of multi-million dollar manufacturing equipment
· Implement progress reviews and quality assurance procedures in accordance with the company methodology to ensure a successful and profitable build-out, as measured by past project performance and customer satisfaction
· Work with our client’s personnel, customer and other resources to identify requirements, and scope the effort associated with implementing those requirements.
· Be well versed in communicating the features and facilities requirements of the our client’s product set, and work with the customer to design installations
· Plan projects in order to accomplish goals and ensure customer satisfaction within constraints such as time, cost, and agreed quality standards
· Schedule tasks, deadlines, and milestones for all stakeholders and resources using their methodology for all parties
· Identify schedule uncertainties and risks for both customer and our client
· Implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans
· Run the equipment installation project on a day-to-day basis
· Coordinate designers, engineers, subject matter experts, technicians, vendors, and service providers to deliver milestones according to plan
· Coordinate communication between our client’s customer, company staff and third parties acting on behalf of the customer
· Efficiently and competently manage problem resolution. Establish recovery plans, and bring the team back on plan or create a new plan with the assistance of key stakeholders
· Track and report team hours and manage project budget
· Analyze and ensure project outcomes, including schedules, cost of resources during different project phases, and final equipment acceptance tests
· Create, maintain, and constantly look to improve implementation processes
· Obtain, discuss, and follow-through on feedback from the customer
· Investigate and answer customer questions

Qualifications
· BS/BA required. Relevant fields include mechanical, industrial, and electrical engineering
· Experience leading the deployment of equipment valued at greater than $10M
· 10+ years project management experience in manufacturing, semiconductors, renewable energy, construction, technical service, or sales of engineering solutions
· Ability to work efficiently and independently under tight deadlines and in stressful situations
· Capacity to understand, assimilate, and organize complex technical information
Experience working in a complex stakeholder environment
· Facilities project management experience, overseeing activities such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing refits
· Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and MS project
· Ability to travel internationally as needed

Location: Portland, Oregon metro area.
Reports to: President USA
Must be able to work within the U.S. without sponsorship.
