Vice President Operations

Vice President Operations for $150M Capital Goods Manufacturing company in Milwaukee area.  Looking for a strong, enthusiastic and persuasive leader to direct and manage the company’s operations groups to ensure that products are manufactured on schedule within quality standards and cost objectives.  No relocation.  Only local candidates considered. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Direct and manage the company’s operations activities to achieve business objectives.


2. Control costs to meet or exceed established budgets.


3. Oversee the operations process of all company products ensuring company goals and objectives are being obtained.


4. Execute established metrics, expectations, and accountabilities of direct reports.


5. Oversee internal performance metrics in productivity, labor efficiencies, and budget performance.


6. Direct continuous improvement opportunities.


7. Promote and maintain a safe manufacturing environment.


8. Identify appropriate capital projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. MBA or graduate degree in related field.


2. BS in engineering or a related field.


3. 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.


4. Exposure to working with complex/engineered product lines.


5. Strategic thinker and team player with strong technical and operational skills who can motivate all team members.


6. Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and PC skills.


7. Demonstrated knowledge in the manufacturing and delivery of Capital Goods in the U.S. and internationally.


8. Experienced in facility relocation and consolidation.


9. Ability to travel internationally and experience overseeing international operations.
