Description:
The position will support the Material Programs Director for one of the major ship construction programs in Shipbuilding Gulf Coast. The skill requirements include but are not limited to the following: Strong financial analysis skills, program execution, and business acumen. Effective cost management skills, especially Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) knowledge and the BAR system/process. Working familiarity with the material cost control systems/processes. Solid understanding of the material acquisition process and life-cycle. Exceptional communication skills (written, oral, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational). Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver formal presentations to groups of employees and executive leadership. Proficient in Microsoft Office Tool Suite, Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access/Outlook and other relevant business/computer tools. Functional working experience in Finance, Business Operations, Supply Chain Management, Production Operations, and/or other related fields Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related area plus Ten years experience in Supply Chain and/or the management of construction overhaul and/or repair of naval combatants and/or support ships. Minimum of five years experience in a management position preferably in Supply Chain. Knowledge of Material Acquisition Process and EVMS/Financial Budgeting Systems. Training in Finance or Supply Chain Management or other relevant disciplines required. MULTIPLE POSITIONS.
