Plant Manager - 90828DSH20

Our client, a world-leader in the manufacture of flexible packaging, is seeking a Plant Manager for their Mid-Atlantic U.S. manufacturing facility. Their customers are some of the largest and most recognized companies in the world.  The company is stable, non-union, and privately-held, having been in business for over 50 years. 

Compensation:  $100K - $120K, commensurate with experience.  Excellent benefits.

Reports To:  Director of Operations

 

Description:

• 
  Responsible for managing the operation for a safe, efficient and productive operation


• 
  Multiple reports including:  safety, production, warehouse, purchasing, maintenance, inventory, quality and HR


• 
  Major emphasis will be to lead employees to work safely and productively to achieve business goals


• 
  Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels and setting work schedules to meet demand


• 
  Coordinate with sales department to maintain proper levels of finished product and raw material to manufacture needed goods in a timely fashion

 

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of a B.S. degree, engineering preferred


• 
  Strong work experience and a track record of great results, with a deep understanding of creating and leading a “Lean enterprise”


• 
  Hands-on practice with contemporary manufacturing theories such as theory of constraints, demand flow, just-in-time, kanban, kaizen, TPM, and 5S is a must
