Job Description Professionals within Accentures Operational Strategy Practice are focused on how to improve returns from existing business and achieve sustainable high performance. They identify and implement high performance business value creation and transformation opportunities by delivering independent strategic and general management consulting services focused on the CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, and COOs agenda. The Operational Strategy Senior Manager will collaborate with client teams to define, architect, drive and deliver transformational strategies that generate long-term client value. Responsibilities: The Commercial Strategy Senior Manager will join the North American Operational Strategy practice and bring leading consulting skills to support customer insight, value chain strategy, cost analysis and corporate reconstructing. This includes the creation, architecture and delivery of value provided by the application of:
- Strong executive presence and client building/influencing skills
- Exceptional communication and team building/mentoring skills
- Ability to drive rigorous, fact-based appraisal of industry performance drivers and competitive dynamics
- The application of innovative as well as established analytical tools to device a clearly articulated corporate strategy and business value
- Deep business unit, commercial and/ or brand strategy experience
- Deep industry knowledge and insight within Healthcare focusing on Pharmaceuticals and/or Medical Devices
The Commercial Strategy Senior Manager will support delivery of client work and develop new client opportunities with both existing clients and prospective new clients:
- Drive rigorous and structured approach to identifying and solving client problems
- Structure and perform complex financial analyses and develop business cases in conjunction with industry and/or opportunity analyses
- Lead efforts of managers, consultants and analysts on client engagements to ensure that the focus is correct and the work is accomplished on time, and meets or exceeds the highest quality standards.
- Structure and develop high impact client communications
- Conduct work in such a way that the results are both of distinctive quality and useful to the client in terms of improving competitive positioning
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: - MBA or MPH degree required
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate work experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in strategy (i.e. business unit strategy, functional strategy, portfolio strategy, brand strategy) within life sciences focusing on Pharmaceuticals and/or Medical Devices
- Minimum of 5 years experience at a major consulting firm or equivalent in an internal consulting role
- Minimum of 3 years in a consulting supervisory position
Preferred Qualifications: - Significant experience in identifying and closing sales opportunities based on an extensive network of relationships in the Pharmaceuticals and/or Medical Devices industries
- Deep functional experience in brand management and/or strategy as well as international experience in brand management (global marketing, assignments outside of the US, etc.)
- Industry experience in Pharmaceuticals or Medical Devices in either a sales or marketing role
- Experience planning for and/or executing Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices product launch
- Experience in oncology or specialty pharma fields (e.g. biologics, etc.)
- Experience in developing professional post graduate (i.e. MBA) talent
- Ability to meet travel requirements, up to 100%
