JOB DESCRIPTION: The NGAS Space Systems Division Subcontract Program Manager will have overall responsibility for oversight and coordination for a major subcontracting effort In National Systems. The Subcontract Program Manager leads a team of responsible design engineers, subcontract administrators, parts and material administration and supplier mission assurance professionals assigned to this effort. Primary responsibilities include technical, cost, quality, and contractual and schedule management of the subcontractor. Requires day-to-day responsibility in managing systems engineering activities for specifications development and maintenance, change management, test planning, conduct and verification as well as milestone tracking, giver receiver management, and earned value management and reporting to the respective Program IPT. The Subcontract Program Manager is the focal point for all supplier related issues and their resolution on the subcontract. The Subcontract Program Manager must have proven technical and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and interact with senior team members on the program and supplier in resolving multiple and complex issues. Must be able to work with executive levels at the supplier and present clear and focused direction, with appropriate follow up. Demonstrated experience in the management of technically complex subcontracts and materiel related issues a plus. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA in Engineering or Management and a minimum of 15 years experience in engineering, or program management is required. Must be able to obtain and hold DoD/SSBI security clearances. Security Clearance Required.
