This Contracts Manager position supports efforts within the Defense Systems Division, Air & Missile Defense Systems Business Unit in Huntsville, Alabama and will report directly to the Business Unit Director of Contracts. In this position, the Contracts Manager will provide overall Contracts Management to the assigned site as well as lead / guide and manage assigned contracts administrators. Additionally, the Contracts Manager will lead contractual activities for various ongoing programs within the Business Unit. We are seeking a results oriented individual with the ability to continually assess financial and strategic ramifications of contractual activities. Must be comfortable with multi-tasking, have an ability to establish priorities and have experience working with a diverse technical, business management and legal staff. Preferred candidate must be able to integrate strategic thinking with innovative contracting methodologies, participate as a proactive member of the Business Unit staff, provide leadership on contractual and business matters, fully understand the financial and legal concepts and interface smoothly with both internal and external customer communities. Must have proven successful record on multiple contracts and proposals. Must be knowledgeable of government contracting environment and have direct experience in working FAR based contracts. Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency programs and experience in DOD and restricted customer contracting environment also positive consideration. Position will require development of and presentations to Division and senior leadership within the company. Position may require travel. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent experience and a minimum of 15 years related Government contracts experience. Strong working knowledge of U. S. Government procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS). Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, negotiations, and customer interface. Prior supervisory experience. DoD Clearance required. Knowledge of Northrop Grumman policies/processes preferred. Security Clearance Required.
