Responsible for the functional management and technical oversight of all personnel in the Advanced Materials and Processes Development department with duties including; coordinating staffing level requirements, creating direct/contract hiring requisitions, interviewing / hiring, PMP goal setting / mid-year reviews, final PMP completion, compensation adjustments, training oversight / approval, assisting employees in career development planning and other routine personnel issues in support of direct reporting employees. Act as the engineering homerooms primary contact for the coordination of people, processes and tools management. Expectations are that these functional duties will occupy an average of 10% to 15% of the selectees time with increased activity levels during PMP and Merit reviews. This is a dual-hat position so the remaining 85% to 90% of the selectees time is expected to be directly funded activities in support of an NGAS program or programs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor degree in engineering discipline, plus a minimum of 9 year experience in materials and process development and contracted research and development. Candidates must have excellent communication, people and leadership skills along with strong presentation and writing skills. Preferred Experience: 7 years experience with a M.S; 4 years experience with a PhD, Preferred candidates also will have demonstrated leadership of engineering personnel on a Northrop Grumman Corporation program Security Clearance Required.
