Procurement Manager

Our client, a giant in the chemical industry, is currently seeking to hire a Procurement Manager.

Description:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

-Procurement strategy development and execution for $31 million portfolio raw material building blocks for optical brighteners, antioxidants and uv stabilizers matrixed across 20+ suppliers, multiple business units, 50 products, 8 North American sites, the global procurement team

-Procurement strategy development and execution for $20 million portfolio of surfactants matrixed across 10+ suppliers, multiple business units, 100 products, 15 North American sites, the global procurement team

Qualifications
Required:

- BS Engineering, Chemistry, Finance, Economics, or related field.  Our company recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.

- 5-12 years procurement or sales experience with significant negotiation expertise required.

- Demonstrated proficiency in the following competencies: Market Knowledge, Effective Negotiation, Entrepreneurial Initiative, Change Orientation and Management, Analytical Thinking, Strategic Thinking, Coaching, Team Leadership and Collaboration, Communication and Interpersonal Understanding


Desired:
Five years plus experience in Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Engineering desired.
