JOB DESCRIPTION

The Medical & Healthcare Strategic Planning Consultant plays a key role the growth and strategy development of three DeVry institutions:  Chamberlain School of Nursing, Ross University School of Medicine and US Education which houses our allied health programs.   The individual directly supports the President of the Medical and Healthcare Group and the leaders of each of the institutions.  He/she reports to the Senior Director, Strategic and New Program Planning and is a member of the Corporate Development and Planning group.  The individual manages projects relating to business performance, student experience, employment trends, growth ventures, new programs and competitor activities.


 


  • Conceptualizes, proposes and conducts new internal consulting projects, demonstrates expertise in a variety of disciplines and industries; analyzes past trends, projects future demand, and engages corporate partners and other centers of influence as needed.

  • Communicates and generates support for recommendations among senior-most members of the organization, including recommendations to commission further research, engage in M&A or invest significant resources in the product.

  • Serves as a leading source of program information and competitor intelligence for the company

  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned

  • Works within cross-functional and cross-institution project teams to solve business problems

  • Supports  the prioritization of Group strategic initiatives, and evaluates investment opportunities for strategic and financial value

    • MBA from a top school; 4 - 6 years of consulting/strategic planning experience; previous higher education or healthcare experience desirable

    • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills combined with outstanding project management abilities

    • Superior written and verbal communication skills

    • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and secondary research skills needed. Ability to synthesize and clearly articulate information a must
