Pump Station and Filtration Mechanical Engineer

This role will involve conceptualization and design, project management, concurrent engineering and improvement efforts as well as manufacturing implementation.  Scheduling of work on multiple projects simultaneously will be required.  Additionally, this position will be expected to provide technical expertise to marketing specialists, quotation specialists and technicians dedicated to this product line.

•  Responsible for unique pump station and filtration design - understanding and responding to detailed end-user specifications and requirements, including electrical, hydraulic and packaging.
• Responsible for application-specific engineering support of filters.
• Coordinates design, development, and manufacturing of filters and associated pump packaging.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with Mechanical Engineering work experience
• Pump Station / Filtration application and design or service experience
• Familiar with engineering hydraulics, electrical basics, and rotating machinery
• 10+ years of Capital Equipment product design, engineering and manufacturing experience
• Practical knowledge of electro-mechanical concepts
• Design experience with high quality, controlled cost, medium volume products
• Success in product development as a member or leader of a cross-functional team
• 3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
• Willing to travel as required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (MS office, word, excel, etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment
• Solid project management skills
• Hands-on technical and mechanical involvement

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced degree or MBA
• Knowledge of irrigation systems
• Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Bid & proposal preparation.
• Experience with TQM concepts.
