Manager Trade Operations

7-10 years experience with trade operations, investment administration with 5 years in a manager role.
*Accounting background a plus
*Leadership qualities including experience in training/mentoring staff, developing and streamlining procedures and working with multiple departments on tight deadlines.

Ongoing/General
" Reports to the Controller in the role of Manager - Trading Administration
" Overall management of the Trading Administration team, managing trade administration workflow.
" Oversee the Trading Administration team who are the day to day contact with Research, PAAT Accounting, Client Services, Systems and Legal.
" Oversee Trading Administration team who are the day to day contact for custodians, fx counterparties, and fund administrators and managers.
" Oversee the Trading Administration team in their responsibility as a fully functioning pricing team.
" Setting policies and procedures to ensure high quality processing and information flow.
" Oversee ongoing enhancements to system applications.
" Discuss and resolve or escalate all trade administration issues raised.
" Oversee Trading Administration staff responsible for maintain databases and disseminating documents received from managers, administrators, custodians and counterparties.
" General training of all new Trading Administration staff.

Daily
" Coordinate and review wire processing.
" Review margin calls.
" Review for reasonableness LOC paydown/increase requests.
" Oversees/Reviews the monitor process - the accumulation, calculation and verification of manager/administrator weekly and month-end estimated rates of return.

Monthly
" Review, coordinate and confirm subscription/redemption docs and proxy notification and cash movements with custodian/managers/administrators.
" Work closely with the Research group in gathering/confirming manager information.
" Review, coordinate and confirm fx spot trades and fx rolls and cash movements with counterparties. Monitor fx capacity. Monitor portfolio planning worksheets for activity related to fx.
" Review, coordinate and confirm option trades and cash movements with counterparties.
" Review lines of credit needs for month-end trade processing, investor withdrawal payouts, etc.
" Oversee and review the process of uploading monitor and trade information into AIMS.
" Responsible for updating and reviewing the "checksheet" - the Funds’ and indices’ rates of returns used in marketing materials.
" Review marketing materials.

Weekly
" Oversee and review Trading Administration’s reporting of rates of returns to external parties and lines of credit analysis internally.

Quarterly
" Review marketing materials.

Annually
" Review marketing materials.
" Oversee Trading Administration team in their gathering of audit information and confirmations.
" Oversee Trading Administration team responsible for accumulating tax information and financial statements from managers.
" Conduct formal reviews with each member of the Trading Administration team.
