Vice President, Procurement

Major Global Corporation located in Manhattan is looking for a Senior Procurement professional.  The primary duties of this position are as follows:

- source professional services / consulting requirements to meet the needs of corporate and business unit organizations;

- negotiate contracts and master agreements and pricing with selected firms;

- oversee, maintain and monitor the performance of existing firms under contract;

- generate analysis reports of past and current professional services engagements to identify and opportunities.

Job Requirements:

- Candidate must be a more senior level sourcing professional with 7 – 10 years hands-on experience in the area of non-IT professional services (Consulting, Financial Services, HR corporate support services, Legal services, including retaining outside counsel services);

- Possess a deep understanding of the aforementioned industries and service areas;

- Extensive, personal experience preparing, issuing, analyzing and evaluating competitive market assessments via manual and electronic RFP process, such as the Ariba technology;

- Strong creative business skills with ability to evaluate new situations or business challenges and then propose and execute solutions to these new business requirements;

- Self-confident and effective in an unstructured and ever changing work environment;

- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written with strong presentation abilities;

- Strong leadership skills and the capabilities to work effectively with internal clients, external vendors, peers and all levels of corporate management.
