Structural Aircraft Technician - TS / 094979

Plans, coordinate, and performs complex structural/sheetmetal modifications and repairs. Fabricates piece parts using design data. Improvise tooling and methods as required to complete jobs. Certify all work performed. Keep abreast of all company policies and procedures. Must meet / maintain minimum tool inventory requirements. WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED: PERFORM WORK OF EQUAL OR LOWER SKILL LEVEL AS REQUIRED. 1. Performs complex structural /sheet metal modifications and repairs. 2. Fabricate piece parts in accordance with approved technical data and drawings. 3. Coordinates as required, with Supervisor and may act as a team leader on projects. 4. Must have the ability to read and understand all drawings, work orders, structural repair manuals, and technical directives. 5. Ensures all paper work, work orders, and records associated with modifications and repairs are completed daily and in accordance with modifications and repairs are completed daily and in accordance with approved data. 6. Advises the supervisor of any necessary tooling required to properly complete task. 7. Ability to work within an I.S.O. 9001 certified company. 8. Assist engineering with technical issues. 9. Must have own tooling. 10. Train junior personnel. 12. Maintain work area, hanger, ramp, shops, and ground support equipment in a clean and orderly fashion EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma /GED FAA airframe license helpful. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Eight years experience within the last 10 years in performing structural repairs, modifications, and fabrication of aircraft and piece parts. Ability to read, and analyze and interpret complex drawings, structural manuals and technical directives. Familiar with all types of structural tooling and hardware.
