Leading Supply Chain Company Seeks Marketing Procurement Leader
Our client, a leader in the supply chain industry, seeks a Marketing Procurement Leader with deep marketing sourcing and supplier management experience to help customers drive tangible results.
In this capacity, you will work on a dedicated basis with one of their customers with the responsibility to design and implement cost savings projects across multiple marketing sub-categories including Creative Agencies, PR Agencies, Media, Market Research, Events/Event Management, Fulfillment and Commercial Print. You will be responsible for delivering category management services in marketing, including, but not limited to, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement.
Key responsibilities include the following:
• Design and implement cost savings projects across multiple marketing sub-categories including Creative Agencies, PR Agencies, Media, Market Research, Events/Event Management, Fulfillment and Commercial Print
• Engage with customers’ senior marketing management team members to drive and communicate progress.
• Measure and manage “suppliers’” (aka providers, agencies, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels.
• Identify and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market research and conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements.
• Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing related to marketing goods and services
• Experience with multiple marketing categories including Creative Agencies, PR Agencies, Media, Market Research, Events/Event Management, Fulfillment, Commercial Print
• Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Formal training and/or experience in strategic sourcing
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
• A bachelor’s degree – MBA preferred
