Position Description: We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Technical / Maintenance Manager to work out of our Old Fort, OH location.
Job Summary:
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of staff responsible for activities and operations related to safety, maintenance and technical services.
Responsibilities:
Capital Budgeting
• Develop and author Individual Capital Expense requests for identified projects as needed.
• Manage individual Capital projects as needed.
• Execute Capital budget plan and control the cost and timing of all assigned Capital projects
• Reporting on capital spending, project updates and future projects for required plant and corporate documentation.
Engineering/Maintenance
• Support and implement the Plant Maintenance program and Plant Process
• Improvements. SAP PM experience a plus.
• Support new product initiatives through product testing and development, process changes and capital projects.
• Select and Supervise outside contractors, including safety performance and conformance to plant rules.
Manage the Maintenance Function directing the Maintenance Supervisor.
Quality Control
• Maintain the Old Fort Plant Quality Management System (QMS) through the current ISO Certification
• Manage the Quality Control Function directing the QC Supervisor and QC lab.
• Track Internal Quality Improvement Requests (QIR) through MRM process to identify corrective and preventative actions
• Support the customer audit system.
Safety
• Support and implement safety, insurance and responsible care compliance
initiatives through identified capital projects.
• Manage the Safety/Environmental Function directing the Safety/Environmental Specialist
General
• Participate in the selection of maintenance and technical staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
• Participate in Staff meetings
• Participate in on call weekends (3-4 annually)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum five years management experience.
Special Skills / Competencies / Requirements
• Excellent verbal and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Advanced Computer Skills
• SAP experience a plus
