The World Trade Center of New Orleans (WTC-NO) is seeking applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer. Successful candidates must have a proven track record of effective leadership and management, including: a minimum of five (5) years of experience in organization management; supervision and motivation of personnel; successful fund-raising from multiple and creative sources; vision and related strategic planning competence; marketing and promotion skills; cooperative board relationships; excellent oral and written communications; resource management as well as community relations.

The WTC-NO Board of Directors has committed to a major restructuring of its business and revenue models in order to meet the many new challenges that lie ahead; it is, therefore, essential that candidates under consideration must be able to lead the organization through these changes.  Candidates must be able to validate problem-solving and decision-making skills; effective advocacy; policy development; fund-raising successes; knowledge of international protocols; fiscal responsibility and budget accountability; and effective work experience with public and private sectors.  It is desirable for candidates to have a proficiency in two or more languages; high personal levels of energy and motivation; and a willingness to travel within the region.  Demonstrated experience in research; the development, implementation and evaluation of programs; work with other World Trade organizations; and the management of volunteer resources is preferred.

Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree from an accredited higher educational institution.  A Masters Degree with a concentration in economic development, international trade, public service, business administration, non-profit management, human resources management, political science or another appropriately related discipline is preferred.  The target salary range is in the low to mid $100’s; salary to be commensurate with experience and education.  Benefits include health and life insurance, 401(k), and may include some relocation costs.
