Technical Writer, Lead - 41869

DescriptionDUTIES: CACI has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer, Lead to support Fleet assist and shipboard training Team efforts.  Reviews software packages, source documents, and establishes policies to determine format-and-design requirements.  Prepares rough drafts and designs basic illustrations including written material for interactive and digital media training, which may include storyboard for film, and multimedia CD-ROM training packages to include Computer-Based Training (CBT), utilizing sill frame video, animation, scripting and producing CDs.  Proof-reads staff production.  Rewrites rough drafts into smooth draft after client review.  Recommends overall organization and layout, editorial standards and publication methods. Coordinates publication with outside sources and vendors as needed.  Develops department editing standards and styles.        REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Requires bachelors degree (in related technical field) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related (technical writing/editing) experience.   Required Hardware: MAC, IBM   Required Software: Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Photoshop, Page Maker, Corel Draw, Microsoft SharePoint, Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM).     Required Certifications: None   DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must demonstrate a firm command of the English language. Must have experience with Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM); Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM); and Microsoft SharePoint Portal   CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret Clearance must be current.
