This is a multi-functional position with diverse development opportunities. Experienced subcontract administrator to manage a mixed portfolio of subcontracts in support of satellite sensor products. Preferred candidate will have excellent technical aptitude with hands-on experience in all aspects of subcontract management from preparing bid packages, specification and work statement development, analysis and proposal evaluation, source selection, negotiations, terms and conditions, award write-up, cost and schedule management, through to subcontract closeout. Experience with cost-type and FFP subcontracts. Must work well in an IPT environment, but can take charge with respect to managing the subcontractor. Will develop solutions to a variety of complex subcontract administration problems that arise. Ability to brief senior level procurement and program management on subcontract performance status. Position will have Agency within the ES SCM organization. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work will be performed without appreciable supervision. Additional duties as assigned. Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business or related subject; however, equivalent related experience shall be considered plus a minimum of 10 years recent and related procurement / subcontracts experience within aerospace / defense or related field. Requires excellent business acumen, collaborative, leadership, supplier relationship and negotiation skills. Well-developed oral and written communication skills along with strong computer literacy. Must be familiar with FAR/DFAR requirements. Must be able to work extended hours when needed and travel as necessary. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: Specific experience in subcontracting for hardware in support of space applications is highly desirable (preferably development programs). A TS/SCI clearance is desirable.
