Description: Put your years of experience in military operations, national security, and technical expertise into a career with Northrop Grumman supporting a customer on the Joint Chiefs of Staff as a Strategic Planner (A398) Level 4 with our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Pentagon supporting the Joint Staff J8 Support Agency Review and Assessment Office (SARAO). The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grummans Team supporting Joint Staff (J-8), seven Combat Support Agencies, and ultimately the Combatant Commands providing functional area subject matter expertise for studies, analysis, and assessments of Defense programs, processes, doctrines, policies, plans and strategies as well as providing guidance, advice, and recommendations to support implementation and revision of the Defense Strategy. The qualified applicant needs to be an "All-Source" intelligence and/or electronics warfare analyst with HUMINT, SIGINT, ELINT, IMINT, MASINT, etc., experience. Specific duties will involve supporting biennial assessments of several Combat Support Agencies (CSAs) effectiveness in supporting their DoD customers; specifically the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, and National Security Agency/Central Security Service. Research will be required to develop CSAs Key Objectives, Desired Effects essential to achieving Key Objectives, and Metrics by which effectiveness and performance are measured. Roles and Responsibilities: * Provides advanced technical knowledge in national security; international relations, military operations, Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands * Review courses of action presented by the Combat Support Agencies designed to achieve Desired Effects. * Provide support in the assessment of Defense Acquisition programs and processes to include reviewing process compliance and evaluating program cost, schedule, and performance for potential alternative solutions, and establishing criteria and triggers for decisions. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * Bachelors degree with 10 years experience OR Masters with 8 years of task related experience * Position requires a current TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: * Experience serving on the Joint Staff or other staff particularly in the JS-J8, the Combatant Commands, and the intelligence rooted CSAs. * Understanding of unified and specified level joint planning processes and mission analysis * This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and/or customer approval.
