Responsibilities
The General Manager will lead relationships with key Non-Profit accounts in Epsilon's D.C. office. The GM is responsible for maintaining and deepening current relationships with clients, finding new opportunities to grow the business, managing the service delivery team for the account and managing the P&L of the account. Key performance indicators for this position include maintaining and improving customer satisfaction, growing top-line revenue, managing the client-level profitability of the account and effectively building and leading the teams needed to deliver.
The General Manager will have at least 15 years experience in Non-Profit fundraising, with some museum and membership experience preferred. Candidate will understand the critical business issues facing Non-Profits, and will have a proven ability to create vision and implementation strategies for effective integrated direct marketing programs. This individual is responsible for working with executives at the client organization to understand their strategic marketing direction, share best practices on fundraising and membership marketing, generate and sell through new business aligned to the client's goals, help the client build support for the new business initiatives and write/negotiate proposals, contracts and statements of work for the new business.
The General Manager will also build and manage a team of service delivery staff to ensure profitable delivery of current and future work, and identify and recruit the resources needed to deliver. Communicating progress to organization's executive management and client executive management, translating service delivery into tangible business value, and managing expectations both internally and with the client are critical.
Required Skills/Experience:
Leadership:
Strong client management track record with proven results.
Must be effective at leading large teams of internal and client staff in the delivery of data-driven strategy, direct marketing, and marketing operations solutions.
Staff management and financial P&L management are critical.
Communication and Presentation:
Outstanding presentation skills are necessary.
Persuasive, concise, clear verbal and written communicator.
Ability to formulate and communicate recommendations.
Expertise and knowledge:
15+ years relevant client management experience.
Non-Profit industry and direct marketing experience required.
Measurable results in large account management and business development.
Familiarity with direct marketing strategy, analytics, and campaign execution across offline and online channels.
Proven problem solving skills.
Proven track record for managing and growing complex relationships.
Overtime and Travel will be required.
