Position Overview



  • Plan, coordinates, manages, and implements product development activities on the 787 Program.

  • This position will be leading the group responsible for multiple projects within the Manufacturing Engineering/Planning group.

  • This will include, schedule development, labor estimates, manufacturing bill of material development, setting team priorities, developing and modifying the processes and procedures.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage the technical staff responsible for assuring timely and successful accomplishment of Build Product Development activities.

  • Ensure the Build Product Development activities are coordinated within the project to meet program objectives and that all employees have the authority and responsibility to identify, evaluate and recommend solutions to technical problems.

  • Implement risk mitigation plans, if needed, in areas of technical requirements, performance, cost and schedule.

  • Responsible for monitoring and adjusting, as necessary, the allocation of manpower and facilities required to meet objectives.

  • Manage work progress by means of personal review, metrics, and/or other control methods.

  • Stay abreast of customer technical requirements. Analyze, interpret and communicate this information to affected groups.

  • Is responsible and accountable for the status and progress of work with emphasis on technical, schedule, and budget performance.

  • Provide performance status, metrics, and progress reports.


Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or engineering discipline plus ten (10) years of aerospace management experience.
