This position is responsible for leading strategic sourcing efforts in travel and meeting management for all materials and services purchased by Cargill business units and functions.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accountable for developing and implementing Cargill global procurement strategic sourcing plans for travel services (9-step sourcing process), includes local, regional and global sourcing and external supplier management
- Coordinate and lead global procurement travel sourcing teams, including overall management of cross regional and/or global initiatives, including responsibility for understanding travel spend baseline, trends, patterns, savings, etc
- Serve as Secretary on the Travel Policy Committee
- Lead benchmarking for improved innovative tools and practices
- Accountable for Travel Services Website content.
- Drive continual process improvements for increased savings and innovations
- Collaborate and align with policy/compliance, procurement and TRPC
- Provide leadership to enterprise-wide team of travel professionals and outsourced suppliers
- Development of strategic business and sourcing plans for travel and meeting management
- Ensure efficient and effective implementation of all travel service solutions across all Cargill locations, ensuring delivery is achieved at a local level
Required - 10+ years experience in the Corporate Travel Industry
- BS degree in business, finance or related field
- Experience in strategic sourcing and negotiation of contracts
- Proven ability to negotiate substantial and complex contracts across geographies and business units
- Demonstrated history of developing and implementing cross organizational and cross geographical cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Corporate card reporting and data analysis
- Experience in hotel and air RFP process and industry sourcing tools
- Proven project management experience
- Ability to travel a minimum of 10% - possibly international
