The Director of eCommerce has the mission of growing America’s Job Exchange (AJE) by maximizing on-line self service sales goals and lead design, development and marketing of products and shopping experience targeted at recruiters and hiring managers. This is a key position responsible for overall product and technology strategy and execution of the employer experience and along with on-line sales goal. This position carries a fixed base salary along with variable pay based on monthly/quarterly and annual goal achievement. Position level and compensation is flexible based on candidate’s background and impact potential.

What You’ll Do:
(A) Lead design & development of recruiting products and eCommerce shopping experience
• Prepare business and technology requirements for recruiting relatedtargeted for use by corporate hiring managers and recruiters
• Prepare specification and technology roadmap for on-line shopping experience as weel as technologies related for customer engagement and interactionon-line shopping experience to grow on-line transactions, new customer acquisition, site conversion rate, order size and cross-selling of products
• Guide development team to successful implementation of business requirements. Research and recommend appropriate technology approach and architecture with a goal of maximizing performance on key metrics as described below
• Be theecommerce expert and contribute in the overall development of technology strategy. Monitor and incorporate industry best practices, emerging technologies and web 2.0 principles
(B) Rapidly grow sales and key metrics of the self-service eCommerce channel, as well as employer product portfolio
• Define and monitor relevant metrics for ecommerce sales and related site performance indicators e.g. conversion rate, traffic etc, and initiate site changes to maximize monetization performance of the employer web site
• Develop and maintain on-line marketing and price-promotional calendar, and work with marketing team to execute in support of on-line sales goals
What We’re Looking For:
• Deep expertise in eCommerce products and technologies with deep understanding of web related technologies and experience with development architectures and platform
• Familiarity with on-line marketing and other relevant technologies and platforms including social media, multivariate testing and other methodologies
• Entrepreneurial drive and desire to build an on-line business and a ‘make it happen’ attitude of accountability
• 7-10 years of internet product development, eCommerce technology and on-line marketing experience with strong understanding of latest technologies and tools.
• Bachelors degree or higher
