Director of Operations / Asset Management

The Director of Operations/Asset Manager will work closely with developers, plant managers, project accountants, operations & maintenance support staffand third party project partners,with specific responsibilities including but not limited to:

Overall: Optimizing financial performance of the company’s ownership interest in renewable energy and transmission assets.

Budgeting/Planning: Preperation of budgets.

Project Management: Verifying ongoing project performance.

Capital Expenditures: Recommending/approving capital expenditures.

Contract Negotiations and Administration: Negotiating commercial contract terms,amendments and settlements.

Profit Improvement: Identifying and pursuing opportunities to enhance earnings.

Leadership: Fostering teamwork between the finance,accounting and operating functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess the following credentials/qualifications.

Education: Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering MBA is a plus.

Experience:

-A track record of success in a major leadership role.

-Successful Operations Management within Renewable Energy and Transmission assets.

-Profit and Loss experience preferrably in the Power Sector.

Preferred Attributes:

-Understanding of multiple disciplines (Wind, Solar, Biomass, Geothermal, Transmission)

-Successfully increased company’s operational revenue ratio’s through efficiency of programs and standards of Operations.

-Previously involved in an organization that has expanded their ownership in renewable assets and participated in these acquisitions.
