Our client, a mid-sized Consumer Product Manufacturer, seeks a professional Head of Global Strategic Sourcing to lead the growth and expansion of the business. Job description :
The Head of Global Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction on procurement of materials, components, supplies, ensuring favorable cost/terms consistent to quality standards, manufacturing schedules and inventory criteria; leading, mentoring and managing a team of procurement professionals; ensuring procurement of products and services to meet conformance to requirements of both external and internal customers. This individual must have the ability to travel overseas several times a year.The ideal professional will be responsible for the following: Will interface with retailers to procure raw materials and finished goods from China. Travel to China several times a year to work with sourcing team to procure goods from suppliers. Manage price negotiations with all overseas suppliers. Establish seasonal and annual budgets and developed line plans to meet the budget. Establish short and long term sourcing strategies. Who we are looking for :
