Sr. Project Manager

TVG Network, the official TV and Interactive Wagering Partner of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) and a subsidiary of Betfair Group, LTD, is amongst the most widely distributed horseracing networks in the world. TVG viewers, in certain areas, can wager interactively on races via telephone, the internet, TVG mobile or interactive television by establishing a wagering account.

We are currently seeking a Senior Management Project Manager to assist with business operations and marketing initiatives in partnership with our Executive Leadership team, based in Los Angeles, CA.

In this very visible role, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day support and management of key initiatives and designated projects. This includes managing resources, scheduling, providing timely and accurate feedback, tracking project status and shepherding implementation.  The Sr. Project Manager will report to the Director, Strategic Planning.

Responsibilities include:

Tracking and managing every detail of project rollouts (project types: marketing, operations, technology).

Define, document, and implement superlative procedures to insure efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Coordinates project activities with marketing, sales, TV production, customer service and IT departments to ensure goals and requirements are met.

Maintain detailed records of projects underway including due dates, milestones and status

Ensures high level of fiscal control and accountability for project budgets.

Qualifications:

Possess strong project management experience, experience in entertainment, TV production or online retail would be a great asset.

Must have expertise in establishing business processes, preparing project schedules, managing resources and budgets, and reporting variances with a plan for resolution.

Must have experience with executive coaching / situational leadership capabilities

Must have experience being responsible for project budget and schedule, preferably having had project P&L accountability.
Have demonstrated business development skills such as: ability to scope a project, estimate resource requirements, and write proposals.
Must have excellent communications and presentation skills.
Must have strong team leadership and motivation skills.

Ability to multi-task successfully and be extremely detail oriented.

Possess excellent customer service skills.

Experience/Training/Education/Certification

Bachelors degree in Business Management preferred or other related field.

Five+ years experience working in a project intensive environment. 

Management consulting experience strongly preferred.

Minimum of three years of experience in project management.

MBA preferred, not required.

Proficiency in MS Project and Visio.
