Director of Manufacturing - RDB4422
Total Compensation: $150K - $170K
Location: Framingham, MA
Responsibilities:
The Director will have relevant plant start-up experience, experience with plant control systems and preferably, MES. Key partners include Facilities Engineering, Safety, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Manufacturing Technical Support, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and Technology Development. In this role, the successful candidate will work with his/her direct reports to continuously improve the manufacturing organization to a state of operational excellence while continuing to provide high-quality products to patients.
The Director should be a strong advocate for safety, and will provide leadership to the Bulk manufacturing organization to continue to build and strengthen a robust safety culture. The Director is a key organizational leader delivering business results focused on meeting the production schedule, improving the robustness and efficiency of operations, leading the organization to the highest of quality standards, and to become operationally excellent. The Director needs to have strong technical skills in all facets of mammalian cell culture operations in order to provide leadership to the organization in the areas of troubleshooting, process evaluation/understanding, and critical decision making.
Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated leadership success in technical, functional and people management
Strong experience in leading a large cGMP cell culture manufacturing operation
• Demonstrated ability to drive for results and lead innovation and change
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to build, lead and motivate a team.
• Strong track record of mentoring and developing leaders
• Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization both internal and external to company
• Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, collaboration and presentation skills
