TriStaff Group is partnering with a growing and established wireless technology company based in San Diego that is developing innovative consumer electronic products. Our Client is looking for a Director of Supply Chain Management, who will be responsible for managing all aspects of forward and reverse logistics, third party distribution, the entire handset/device and accessory portfolio, as well as the total business financial impact of inventory management.

In this role,  you will report to the VP of Operations and work with an executive team made up of energetic, hardworking, fun people who are committed to growing the company and focused on an aggressive, innovative roadmap for new products and services.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thoroughly understands the supply chain process within the wireless industry and is looking to work in a small, profitable, and growing company where he/she can make an immediate impact. This role will allow you to take initiative on cost and time saving projects and have a lot of autonomy in a fun and team oriented atmosphere.

You will be responsible for implementing product procedures to manage the entire supply chain process and spearheading business planning initiatives for product testing and approvals and deliverables, as noted, for launch and support. This is both a leadership and hands-on role, because you will have only one direct report who is responsible for more of the day-to-day details of product and forward/reverse logistics and purchasing.  

Essential Functions:

• Establish and maintain daily process for complex supply chains including:  all handset/device procurement, supply planning, warranty process and repairs.


• Maintain proper vendor management practices to ensure best-in-class pricing.  Manage end-to-end handset test plan and results.


• Apply supply chain best practices to ensure world-class logistical services through proper use of metrics.


• Manage daily product strategy to include back-up vendors and competitive intelligence up to and including partners and direct relationships. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least 8+ years wireless industry experience.

• Must have at least 3-5 years Procurement/Supply chain discipline in positions of increasing responsibility.


• Must have at least 5 years of people management and demonstrated ability to organize and motivate a team.


• Special Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (in order of importance): Inventory management, Manufacturer Process, Order and fulfillment, Handset Testing and Certification


• Thorough understanding of all aspects of Inventory Management and General Ledger systems. Including sales order, returns, and exchanges transactions.


• Thorough understanding of cash management reports, inventory reports, and other applications as they may be developed.


• Highly motivated self-starter possessing superior understanding of the wireless industry and future trends.

• Startup and/or small company experience highly preferred.
