Description:
Integrated Systems Global Supply Chain organization seeks Buyer to purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, parts, services, and supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Additional duties include: Compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compiling information from periodicals, catalogs, and other sources to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Conferring with vendors and analyzing vendors operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyzing trends, following up on orders placed, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of purchasing or equivalent buyer experience. Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and SAP.
