Join a highly successful team at Northrop Grumman IS/TASC as a Contracts Administrator. The Contracts Administrator Level 5 position administers a workload in support of the Intelligence Operations Business Unit (IOBU) and its Operating Unit, S&T in Chantilly, VA. Position responsibilities encompass direct prime contract support. Takes an active lead role in managing cost proposal volumes; supporting proposals through the fact-finding and negotiation process. Sets up and maintains various types of contracts/task orders for the Operating Unit. Participates in new business strategies including discussions on identifying risk, analyzing those risks and implementing a risk strategy for a bid decision. Reviews and analyzes government or commercial solicitations to understand and convey to Program Managers all relevant contract issues and to ensure that company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer s requirements. Prepares formal bids incorporating all relevant information and corporate commitments. Negotiates with customers and executes proposals and contracts on behalf of the Company. Oversees contract performance by monitoring budget, compliance documents, schedules, deliverables and recommends actions to ensure mutually satisfactory performance. Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops solutions to problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Work is performed with little direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Serves as spokesperson for the organization to both internal and external customers. The Typical Minimum Experience is 15 years with Bachelors; 13 years with Masters. Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices. Full knowledge of industry practices. Considered an expert in the field.
