Description:
Manage and oversee Configuration and Data Management (CDM) activities for the Littoral Combat Ship Mission Package Integration (LCS MPI) IPT. The CDM team is part of a broader NGC IPT providing expert services to the USN including Program Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing and Support. The LCS MPI program will successfully integrate hetergeneous Program of Record weapon systems into modular packages to be deployed as focused capabilities on USN LCS ships. The capture, ordering and management of the data and equipment configuration status is a key part of this. The candidate will manage cross-sector CDM resources across a geographically distributed environment to achieve CM/DM program objectives including adaptation of resources to meet evolving customer needs in a service-oriented role while managing cost and schedule as such will perform as the Cost Account Manager; Must be an effective and positive customer interface and ensure the CDM team adapts to keep the process moving as the enterprise grows; communicate/enforce CM/DM requirements to Suppliers, IAW established subcontracts. Tasking includes enterprise data/drawing capture, reformatting and processing to establish a configuration baseline, management of change and asset management. Candidate must maintain effective CM/DM processes and create new functional processes as needed in accordance with both NGC policies, USN guidelines and emerging DoD/industry standards. Program activities occur in an Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) with toolsets to enable a distributed enterprise team. Must be able to participate in an IPT leadership team, be an effective communicator, facilitate meetings and perform resource planning. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent, plus a minimum of 9 years experience in CDM and automated CDM tools such Teamcenter or Quest required. 13 years of experience may be traded for degree requirement. Earned Value Management System implementation experience is required. General knowledge of DOORS CM systems, Software CM systems and asset management tools and/or Slate. Must have interpersonal and leadership skills to promote pride and excellence in staff and review performance regularly. Security Clearance Required. Relocation Assistance Available.
