The Demand/Inventory Manager will manage the tools and processes to develop an effective sales, inventory and operating plan. It requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to develop a consensus 18-rolling month forecast by following a 5 step SIOP process each month, 1-data consolidation, 2-demand planning, 3-supply and inventory planning, 4-partnership meetings and 5-executive SIOP review.
The major stakeholders include manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, multiple sales offices and numerous brand and product managers across the Sector. The overall goals and objectives of the position will be improve supply chain and inventory forecasting quality across and cross-functional planning processes to enable higher customer service levels with reduced inventory and COGS.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead the transformation to Integrated Supply Chain SIOP from the existing process, deployment and improvement of the overall SIOP process.
- Lead and coordinate the all activities to create Customer account profiles to drive the Integrated Supply Chain SIOP process
- Lead and drive all ERP system implementation and utilization related to SIOP activities
- Maintain an 18-month consensus forecast across supply and demand functions (Sales, Marketing, Operations and finance)
- Ensure that the SIOP process and metrics are aligned with supply and demand business goals
- Measure and report forecast quality (quantify demand variability and our ability to forecast within control limits)
- Ensure data-ownerships is defined and monitor SIOP input-data quality
- Ensure the MPS at each site is aligned to the capacity plan of the respective site
- Lead the development of a plan to Flex capacity in line with customer demand patterns
- Drive pro-active conformance to financial plans
- Facilitate sector-wide Supply Chain SIOP meetings (partnership, executive SIOP, and SIOP initiatives)
- Conduct SIOP analysis to identify opportunities to improve business performance (ex: inventory levels, lead-times, expediting costs, etc.)
- Provide reports and analysis to support quarterly and annual business reviews.

OBJECTIVES:
- Develop an effective and integrated Supply Chain SIOP process across the Business
- Reduce inventories and improve turns through better forecasting and communication
- Provide the vehicle for effective deployment of sales and capacity planning to meet financial objectives
- Increase accountability and collaboration towards better sales, inventory and operations planning
- Improved planning and execution for product-management initiatives: NPD, obsolescence, product-line realignments, and business development
- Reduced product costs through improved planning (reduce expediting, OT and other controllable mfg. expenses)
- Maintain effective communication with internal customers and stakeholders

Knowledge & Work Experience:
* Experience managing Sales and Operation Planning within a matrix organization
Experience managing inventory models in high mix low volume and high volume low mix industries
* Familiar with forecasting tools and working with sales and marketing to develop forecasts as well as working with source capacity planning.
* Must possess the ability to apply principals of logical thinking to solve a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
* Must be prepared to function within a fast paced, customer focused organization that is committed to cooperation, collaboration, and interdependence among diversified businesses and functions.
Education & Minimum Years of Experience:
Bachelors degree. Minimum of 15 years experience including 5 years of planning and scheduling, forecasting or other SIOP processes in a manufacturing environment. MBA and Six-Sigma certification preferred.
APICS CPIM Certification preferred

Additional Skills (Computer/Technical):
Lotus Notes, MS Office-familiarity with Database and/or Planning SOP s/w
ERP and MRP Systems
