Engineering Manager

The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Engineering Manager for a Large Food Manufacturing Facility located in Green Bay, WI.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for leading team efforts to use innovation as a platform to achieve ambitious (higher than industry average) growth and profitability as the global leader in dairy products for generations to come.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying and proposing process & packaging alternatives, coordinating prototype development, issuing specifications, testing feasibility and performance, and assisting in the implementation process.

Duties of the role include:

• Working with R&D, Sales & Marketing, and operations to gain insight into customer and consumer needs and unmet needs, and then translate these needs into tangible requirements.


• Create and maintain development timelines for input into the project management process.


• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the developments and trends in processing & packaging for possible application with present and future products.


• Review, recommend, test, and assist in the implementation of various proposals.  This is done by obtaining and communicating necessary information with Marketing, Product Development, Plant Engineering, Procurement, etc., and contacting various suppliers for estimates, suggestions, or information; test systems in laboratory, pilot plant, and production facilities.


• Developing standards for process and facility design, emphasizing sanitary equipment and facility design.

Position Requirements:

• A 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 


• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Project/Process Engineering leadership in a Food Converting/Manufacturing environment. 


• Strong facilitative leadership skills.


• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.


• Strong focus on results.


• Be self-motivated with high personal and ethical standards.


• Detailed knowledge of sanitary facility and equipment design principles, OSHA, GMP’s and related regulations.


• Design experience to include packaging, automation, material handling, product handling, process and sanitary design.


• Project management experience to include contracts, scope development, and project accounting, with the ability to manage and teach.


• Ability to lead others to ensure projects are executed in a consistent/standardized approach.


• A strong technical background combined with an MBA or Strong business experienced preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified Candidates for the Engineering Manager position MUST HAVE a 4-Year BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline with at least 5-7 years of recent Engineering Management, Plant or Project Engineering experience from within a Food Manufacturing Facility (no other backgrounds will be considered at this time).  Candidates MUST HAVE a strong background handling Capital Projects as well.  Candidates with a Dairy Manufacturing background are highly desired, however this is NOT a requirement.  Qualified Candidates should send a Word and/or Adobe copy of their resume.
