To support our strategic initiatives, The HON Company is seeking a visionary Director for Supply Planning and Material Flow to lead us on our journey to create a seamless supply chain system that enables the rapid continuous flow of materials while creating synergy with our suppliers and ensuring flawless execution for our customers.

Create a vision, road map and processes for understanding, simplifying and improving material flow from suppliers to final assembly?

Develop a team to implement the vision aimed at driving improvement in key metrics including Cost of Flow, Inventory Dollars and Hours of Inventory?

Work cross functionally within the organization to fully develop and deploy the strategy by gaining alliances with plant leadership teams?

Deploy standard work for all processes related to material flow including ordering methodology, communication, container size, transportation, packaging and supplier payment?

Work with Strategic Procurement to develop a plan for engaging suppliers in our vision?

Do you have what it takes?

Individuals considered for this role will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.  Ideal candidates will have an MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 5 – 7 years experience in manufacturing and supply chain management.  Strong computer and systems knowledge including experience with forecasting software, ERP systems and Excel is required. 

Additionally, candidates must have a strong knowledge of supply chain industry systems, trends and best practices, with a proven track record of success in managing and implementing solutions in spite of operational challenges.  Extensive experience with change management is desired.
