Electric Locomotive Engineer - 01081290

Description

Key Role:
Support projects involving electric traction equipment, including locomotives and multiple units. Provide technical support, task management, and project management support in a variety of assignments. Assist with engineering and management support of procurements for new and overhauled railroad vehicles. Maintain responsibility for resolving design and systems integration issues on locomotive procurement projects. Support both office and field based activities, including technology assessments, writing specifications, evaluating vendors, design reviews, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in working with rail vehicles

-3+ years of experience with design, operation, or maintenance of electric locomotives

-BS degree in Engineering  

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the procurement of electric locomotives

-MA or MS degree

-PE or P.Eng.
