To enhance our journey, today, the HON Company is seeking a highly motivated Group Manager for Environmental, Health, and Safety.  The individual selected to lead this portion of our journey will utilize his/her strong safety and environmental expertise to drive continuous improvement in environment, health and safety issues at each of The HON Company Muscatine locations. 

During the first twelve months, our Environmental, Health and Safety Group Manager will implement all items encompassed within the HNI Manufacture for the Environment Procedure, achieve consistency and standardization with our environmental, health and safety programs and provide leadership, management support and oversight for our Muscatine campus.  The focus of this roll will be equally split between safety and environment initiatives.

Longer term, this journey will lead to the development of a strategic vision for environmental, health and safety initiatives and a path to standardize our safety and environmental programs at HON facilities outside of the Muscatine campus. 

Individuals considered for this lead role will have a strong background in safety in addition to the environment.  The ability to drive a strong safety philosophy and implement constructive behavior changes in safety is required.  Applicants should have significant experience in safety and the environment and a proven record of results. 

As with any journey, the successful leader will be expected to have excellent communication skills and be able to influence decision makers; the ability to multi-task, manage projects, and work with all levels within the organization are critical.
