Description
Key Role:
Provide the government with analytical and subject matter expertise that identifies, analyzes, and characterizes capability shortfalls and potential materiel and non-materiel solutions that influence the warfighting effectiveness of the Armys modular brigades. Assess and make recommendations that optimize the integration of the Organizational-Based Assessment (OBA), Capability Needs Assessment (CNA), and Current Force (CF) needs assessment processes. Focus on capabilities that enhance the protection of Army Sustainment Brigades. Participate in the OBA, CNA, and CF needs assessment processes and develop products for the government that support the execution of these processes. Interact daily with uniformed Military and government service personnel and other contractors at Ft. Monroe and other TRADOC schools and centers who are working on related issues. This position requires travel of up to 15% of the time to TRADOC schools involved in the modular brigade modernization effort or to unit locations to interview key leaders in selected Army modular brigades.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-20+ years of experience in a Military service culminating at the rank of Major or higher
-2+ years of experience with Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) working in the field of combat developments or force
-Secret clearance
-BA degree required
-Graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College or another service equivalent
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with a major deployment of US Army forces, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Balkans, or Somalia
-Experience as a former commander, executive officer, or operations and plans staff officer in an Army Sustainment Brigade, Corps Support Command, or Division Support Command, Forward Support Battalion, Main Support Battalion, or other logistics commands within the last 5 years
-Top Secret clearance
-MA or MS degree
-Graduate of the Army War College or another service equivalent
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
